Day 1Arrival in Tulum

Today, you'll reach Tulum from the interior. Rental cars usually come from Bacalar or Chicanna. Buses with ADO stop at the bus station on Tulum's main street. Tulum is primarily known for its ruins on the Caribbean coast and its pristine white beaches, which is why hotels there are quite expensive. We therefore deliberately chose a cozy boutique hotel in the village, just a 20-minute bike ride from the Mayan ruins and the trendy beach clubs.

The hotel we booked for you is just a few minutes' walk from the main street. This is also the most interesting street in the village: colorful souvenir shops, restaurants, small bars, and excellent tequila shops dominate the streetscape. The hotel rooms are spacious and stylishly furnished, designed with a keen eye for detail. You can cool off in the hotel's private pool or relax on one of the comfortable loungers in the property's tropical garden.

Day 2 & 3Stay in Tulum, optional bike tour to the beach or ruins

After waking up, a delicious breakfast awaits you. You can then start thinking about what you'd like to do today. The white beaches are only 15 minutes away. The Mayan ruins of Tulum, which bear the same name, are about the same distance away. Admission is currently around €5 per person. You can get information about bike rentals at the reception desk. This allows you to plan your day at your own pace. We recommend heading to the ruins by the sea as early as possible. Alternatively, you can visit the archaeological site one hour before closing time. This way, you can avoid long lines.

There are also many beautiful cenotes in the area. You can often snorkel and dive in these underground lakes. Our recommendation is to visit the Grand Cenote of Tulum.

Day 4Departure from Tulum

If you'd like to stay a few more days, we're happy to extend your stay at the boutique hotel. The sandy beaches and the many activities make an extended stay worthwhile. For example, visit the Xcaret Nature Reserve. For more culture, visit Coba, one of Mexico's oldest Mayan sites. The reception desk will be happy to help you book a tour. You can also reach Coba yourself by rental car, collectivo, or ADO bus in about an hour.

When departing from Tulum, you can drive yourself to Cancun Airport in about two hours by rental car. Otherwise, we can organize a suitable airport transfer for you.
